What's in my Backpack?

Wednesday, March 01, 2017

If there's one thing I couldn't leave behind when going out, that would be my bag. It's an essential. I couldn't leave home with only my wallet with me. Just NO. I have to bring my umbrella, some gadgets and grooming items... and I can't possibly roam around just clutching all those things. So yes, my bag is necessary. Whether that would be a simple body bag, sling bag, clutch bag, shoulder bag or a backpack -- I have every kind of it to suit my needs.

Lately I found myself using my backpack more frequently. It's a small backpack from Secosana that I bought last year when it was on sale. I wanted a navy blue but it was not available so I just got this one in turquoise green instead. This bag surprised me about how much stuff I could fit in despite its size.

It looks full but there is still enough space for my tablet or my book if I want to put them in there too.

So here are everything that I have in my backpack. My phone and notepad are not in the picture because I used my phone to take this photo (Yes, I have no proper camera yet. My apologies for the grainy photos.) and my notepad was in my drawer because I used it last night. What you see there are my:

1. Housekeys with Net25, New York and Singapore Keychains.

2. My make up bag.

3. Umbrella

4. Coin purse (Got tired of using long wallets. I don't have much money to put in there anyway, haha! This might be looking small but I could actually fit coins worth P100 in it, no kidding! I also like that it has a zipped compartment at the back where I can put bills and that's where I hide my back up flash drive too. It's made of leather and it is really sturdy. In fact, this coin purse is probably 2 or 3 years old and it's still fine. The key chains attached to it were souvenir pasalubongs from Ka Art when he had his Family Week at Boracay. It's been years ago and I still have these, I'm so proud of myself :D )

5. My Dong-A Fine Tech Pen (I used to have Pilot G-Tech but those pens lose it's writing quality when you drop it even just for once. Argh! This one from Dong-A on the other hand never gives up no matter how many times I drop it. Well, not on purpose of course, just simply because I'm being clumsy. Are you having the same issue with your Pilot G-Tech pens too? Well, I suggest you try Dong-A darling. It's cheaper and it works just as fine. )

6. Loose powder (I use two brands for loose powder: Nichido Final Powder and Johnson & Johnson's Baby Powder -- yes, I haven't quite moved on from my high school go-to powder yet, LOL! I have J&J loose powder in this container if you're wondering.)

7. Paganini hair comb (I have this for such a looong time and it fell too many times, I'm really surprised it didn't break yet. There are dents here and there but it doesn't bother me much for as long as either ends of it is not broke. I do have a reserve Paganini Hair Comb just in case this one breaks.)

8. Vinda pocket tissue (This one is a favorite. I can't tell you enough guys how happy I am for finding this pocket tissue. I love it so much I even hoarded a lot of these to make sure I don't run out of it. It's not like your typical easy-to-tear-papery tissues. This one's different. The material is cloth like so it doesn't tear apart too easily. Every ply of it is thick and the size is big enough, it's almost of the same size with my hankies. The best part about it? It's only Php.5.00, you guys! Sooo cheap for such a very good tissue quality. At first, I was quite hesitant for trying it out because I can't read anything on its packaging except for the brand name which is the only readable word on it. Everything else is foreign. I don't even know where it is made. But guys, I've been using this for a year -- it's the only  brand I use -- and there is so far no allergic reactions whatsoever in my skin. I can't say it would be the same case for you because I'm no expert. Besides, I don't have sensitive skin.. I'm just sharing to you guys my experience with this tissue ---- which is my FAVORITE! You can only purchase this at Novo stores, btw.  )

9. Grooming bag

My favorite item in there is my umbrella because it's small &  really light. It doesn't take up too much space plus it doesn't add up so much weight to the bag. I got it for only Php 220 and it was a sulit purchase. I used to have an AZ umbrella before but because I tend to lose them a lot, I decided to just stick with the random local brands. Despite of being a random brand, the quality of the product has exceeded my expectations so far. I'm pregnant and I have to take care of myself. Going out without an umbrella with me is such a risk considering the crazy climate here in the Philippines - it might be scorching hot in the morning but it could be raining cats and dogs by the evening... you'll never know. Better be safe.

And here's what you will see inside my Grooming Bag:

1. 70% Isopropyl Alcohol - Green Cross
2. Rose Water hand cream from Atelier Ysabel hand cream collection
3. Toilet Seat Spray Sanitizer
4. Breath Spray
5. Finess oil control sheet in rose scent
6. Farlin baby wet wipes

and:

7. Maxifol Folic Acid
8. Mefenamic Acid
9.. Extra pantyliner

..because you never know when you'll going to need one. This is also where I keep my earphones by the way.

This one's my make up bag. It's stuffed as you can see. I don't wear too much make up, I don't even have a palette inside except for my eyebrow cake. But I have in there everything that I need. My comb and the loose powder could still fit in this pouch but I decided to take them out and put them on the outer zipped compartment of the backpack because I use them a lot. They have to be somewhere that's easy to access.

I won't go into details about what I have inside because I was planning to create a separate post about what's inside my make up bag.

'Til then, see yah!
