CURRENTLY READING: The Selection Series
Monday, July 11, 2016Nowadays, it takes me weeks to finish a single book. I usually blame it for being too busy…. but mostly it’s because I am just not really too keen about the story. It takes me weeks to read chapter 1 to the middle then just days (sometimes “hours”) to read from middle til the end. In other words: I can’t read fast unless the story excites me. And it’s usually not too exciting until you get to the climax.
So when I get to read a book that excites me on chapter 1, then it must really be a very good story. (Okay, that isn’t always the case but I’m usually right and I am rarely wrong about that theory!) Just like the series I am currently reading: It’s the Kiera Cass’ The Selection Series which I started just yesterday and finished Book 1 on that same day. It has a really exciting plot I just can’t stop myself from finishing it right away. Didn’t expect myself to like a lovestory involving a prince but I did like it.
THE SELECTION is about a girl who is in a competition involving 35 women fighting to win a prince’s heart and become their country’s crowned princess. It’s like the The Bachelor (a reality series from ETC ) but with a twist. I am currently reading the last book of the trilogy called THE ONE where America Singer has to finally make a decision and fight her way to win the crown. So far, so entertaining I honestly feel like a teenager once more. Thumbs up to Kiera Cass’ entertaining wit.
I’m reading an ePub, not a hard copy because I decided to hold up reading my hoarded books before I empty my shelf. I have to save more books because on October, I’ll move to his place and “ohmygoodness” — not one Booksale is available in Kidapawan City. So be it. Good luck to my hoarding project. Anyway, I am truly enjoying reading my epub copies at the moment. 😉
'Til then, see yah!
