Morning Skin Care Routine
Saturday, May 30, 2015SKIN — largest organ in the human body. When it’s damaged, you’re damaged big time. Yup! So you better take care of it :)
Good day earthlings! I woke up on the right side of my bed today and I am so far being productive. I cleaned my room, the kitchen, the comfort room.. the whole freaking house! and I am freaking ecstatic. Nyaaaah! Nyaaah!
K, so much about being too hyper. Let me get started :)
Today I would like to share my morning skin care routine and my ways on how to keep my skin healthy and looking great. Not that I have that awesomely flawless skin — i just thought that it would be nice to share some tips about skin care and help emphasize how important it is to take care of it.
I have extremely oily skin. These products mentioned below somehow helped me fight breakouts caused by oiliness. I'm not saying you will get the same result for using these products. These may or may not work for you, there's no way I can tell because I'm no expert. Unless we have the same skin type, then it will probably work but that's no guarantee. I suggest you visit a dermatologist first before using any products I mentioned if you have sensitive skin.
MORNING SKIN CARE ROUTINE:
Step 1: Clean Your Face
Kojic With Gluta Whitening Beauty Soap from UNI
This was actually included in my MAY 2015 Random Favorites blog post. I have been using this beauty soap for 2 years now. It definitely works, it whitened my skin and really helped me get a lighter facial complexion.
This is best used every morning when you take a bath so you can skip facial cleanser or toner because this beauty soap will already clean your face thoroughly.
Step 2: Take cover from the sun.
TESS Spray-on Sun Screen
This is especially recommended if I’m gonna be out for the day. It’s SPF 15 factor helps me protect my skin from the harmful rays of the sun. Not only that, this also serves as a moisturizer because it contains Lavender extracts and Aloe Vera.
This is not sticky, in fact this product has a liquid consistency. It is very soothing because it’s cold in the skin. Only downside is that I have to wait for like a minute to let my skin absorb the liquid before I can go on and apply the next product.
Step 3: Keep Your skin moisturized / hydrated.
Olay Natural White (Light) All in one fairness cream
I’ve been using this cream since college. This was the very first product I tried out when I realized that I badly need to rescue my skin. If I have to choose which skin care product I can’t leave when traveling, it’s this Olay Day Cream.
It serves too many purposes: whitening, moisturizing and a protection from the harmful UV rays. To keep my skin hydrated for the day, I just gottta put this on. I apply this on my face after putting the TESS Spray on Sun Screen.
There are expensive Olay products but this one’s very cheap. I only buy those in sachets and then I transfer the contents in another small container which I bought for the said purpose.
Step 4: Conceal.
Maxipeel Concealing Cream (fair)
So after having my Olay Day Cream / moisturizer, I then put a concealer cream to at least lighten up (though not fully covered ) those parts of my face with freckles. It doesn't really conceal fully my blemishes nor my freckles but it can somehow lighten up a bit my complexion and the dark spots. Perfect for everyday use if you don't really want to appear too make-up-py.
It leaves a matte finish which I like. But I still prefer to put on some powder right after applying it to set the cream. The reasons I chose this concealer cream among other brands are:
- It’s cheap
- I can buy it in sachets (10g)
- It doesn’t only conceal spots, it’s also a moisturizer and a sunblock (SPF 20)
'Til then, see yah!
